There is no stash report this week... I missed the dead line yesterday. I was at Hilton Head Island at QSC's yearly Spring Meeting. Carol Taylor was our guest speaker. She was great. I also took a class from her. I learned to couch fancy yarns and make skinny lines running thru a square for the borders. It was great fun, but I am pooped. So, rest today.

Design Wall Monday
Ok, here it is. I am still working on my Deb K quilt. More done yea. All of the paper pieced pieces are finished, just need trimmed. Need to cut out background piece and sew them together. Double I will get much done this week. Getting ready for QSC Spring Meeting on Saturday and a class with Carol Taylor on Sunday. So I should have something to show next week. But I digress. Here is this weeks progress.
As you can see I have all of the star points completed.
Here are the spikes that go between each star point and the flying geese that go around the whole star. I am getting there, slowly, but there.
You can see more Design Wall Monday's at the Patchwork Times linkup. Just click on the name.

Stash Report
You know this Stash Report thing is making me blog more than I was. This is a good thing.
Well, I blew it this week. Need some yellow and orange for the Deb K. quilt and some batiks for this coming weekend QSC Spring Meeting Class with Carol Taylor. I was doing ok, until I found the sale stuff. LOL I got just over a yard for half off the yard price of baseball fabric. Think Kids Quilts. And there were several stacks of fat quarters at half off. So they were good deals.
Report time:
Added: 9 1/3 yards
Used: 0 really used some, but project is not complete
total added - 21 1/3
I would really be in the hole if it wasnt for all of those pillow cases I made.
Follow others stash reports at Patchwork Times.
To the right is - How the Grinch Stole Christmas II from Robert Kaufman.

To the left are the fabrics for my Carol Taylor class. The 2 on the left I had, the 4 on the right I just bought. The blues and purples have some green/yellow in them, so how about my zinger. Yes, it is bright. Planning on using it for accents.? Wish me luck!

Stash Report
Stash Report:
Added: 2 yards
Used: 00
Total added for year: 12 yards
Total used for year: 47 3/4
net used: 35 3/4
I was bad this week. But I have been wanting this pattern for along time. So I have pattern and 2 yards of fabric to make it. I love Turtles. Sorry it is a little fuzzy. Will have to wait until I get my Deb Karisik's quilt finished. Which means I have to work on it. LOL Been a busy week, so not much quilting done. Hope to sew this afternoon so I will have something to add to the design wall for tomorrow link up. By the way you can see other stash reports and design wall Mondays at Patchwork Times by Judy L.
This next picture is the steering wheel of my step mothers car. I drove Dad and step mom home from the hospital yesterday. Dad had a pacemaker put in on Friday and could not drive.(he can drive today) Step mom had foot surgery few weeks ago and can not drive. So I drove them home in their car and Wayne followed us. It was about 1 1/2 hours away and then about 1 1/4 hours back to our house in another direction. Boy does she have a great car. Drove like a dream. I will put this on my wish list for when I win the lottery. Oh, that's right got to buy a ticket first. I never do. LOL anyway this is her steering wheel cover. It is so retro and so unlike her. But I love it and so does she. I need to make me a quilty one. Wouldn't that be fun.
Gee, I talked alot. Better go sew some now.

Pillow Cases
Found this picture in the camera. Didnt know I had it. I made 38 Pillow cases between Christmas and New Years. This is them all cut out and ready to sew. 25 of them went to Greater Columbia Quilters for charity. The rest are here to send to family in Va. I really need to mail them.
Got to take Patch to the vet. He has a bad eye infection.

Design Wall Monday
This is my design wall. Working on Deb Karasik's quilt. I took this class at Greater Columbia Quilters a few week ago.
Here is my sewing table mess. I goofed on one of the strips and had to unsew it. This is paper piecing, so I have to do this one again. It is the last for this section. Then I can put a few sections together. It will start coming together soon. I hope.
Here is a picture of Deb holding the quilt. This is what I am striving to make. Deb used batiks. Most of us in the class are using a gradated hombre. It is going to POP. I am loving it. So You got a little extra on the design wall today.
